Paul Pierce’s ex-wife, Princess Santiago, accuses the NBA legend of withholding financial information in their ongoing child-support battle.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Santiago claims Pierce has failed to provide complete bank statements and other financial records requested as part of their legal dispute over their son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce.
Santiago alleges the former Boston Celtics star has not fully disclosed his trust distributions, assets, earnings from Fox Sports 1, or financial information tied to his cannabis business, and that he also failed to reveal his ownership interest in a commercial property.
Beyond the missing documents, Santiago alleges Pierce has not paid the $10,000 the court previously ordered to help her hire a forensic accountant to examine his finances.
She is now requesting an additional $40,000 in legal fees, along with the outstanding $10,000 payment.
In August, a ruling ordered Pierce to pay Santiago $8,508 per month in temporary child support. The court also ordered him to contribute $100,000 toward her legal expenses. During the proceedings, Santiago claimed Pierce earned more than $200 million throughout his NBA career.
Pierce, however, maintained that his current income is considerably lower than his earnings during his playing years and argued that his financial obligations should reflect his present circumstances.
