Paul Pierce Ordered to Pay More Than DOUBLE What He Proposed in Child Support!

Lyndon Abioye |

Paul Pierce will be paying more than $8,500 a month in child support, but his ex did not get the $30,000 monthly payment she had requested.

The former NBA champion was ordered to pay Princess Santiago $8,508 each month for their son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce, according to court documents TMZ obtained. The ruling is “temporary,” meaning the amount could change as the case proceeds.

Pierce must also pay $100,000 toward Santiago’s legal expenses, plus an additional $10,000 for her to retain a forensic accountant.

Santiago previously sought $30,000 per month in support. She argued that Pierce made nearly $200 million over the course of his NBA career and had enough money to meet her request.

Pierce disputed that assessment of his finances.

The retired basketball star argued that he no longer earns the kind of money he did during his NBA years and said support should be closer to $4,000 per month, also claiming that Santiago has her own successful career and earns good money.
