A Florida pastor already facing serious legal trouble is drawing renewed concern after a controversial live broadcast involving the teenager who previously accused him of abuse.
Pastor TD McNutt, leader of Transformation Empowerment Worship Center, was arrested in December on a felony charge of cruelty toward a child.
Authorities allege the teen, identified in reports as his foster son, showed visible injuries that raised alarms with school officials. McNutt was released on bond and has denied wrongdoing.

Now, advocates are raising fresh questions after a livestream surfaced showing the teenager seated between McNutt and his mother, issuing a public apology and retracting prior statements.
In the video, the teen apologized for what he described as lying and disrespect, language that viewers say appeared rehearsed and emotionally charged.
Child welfare experts have expressed concern about the setting and circumstances of the broadcast, noting that public retractions by minors in unresolved abuse cases can be troubling.

McNutt later acknowledged that the video caused discomfort and apologized, saying he regretted the moment’s intensity. “I deeply apologize,” he said, adding that the teen is “deeply loved and cared for.”
The case remains active, and no new charges have been announced. Authorities have not commented on whether the livestream will be part of the ongoing investigation.
