Diddy is reportedly not currently under any active NYPD investigation for the abuse allegations made against him by Cassie, despite reports.
“There is no such investigation, at present,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “The NYPD always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that support and services can be offered to survivors and a comprehensive investigation can be conducted.”
After Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy made headlines, Diddy reportedly settled with her in less than 24 hours. His attorney denies the settlement was an admission of guilt.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best,” Diddy’s attorney Ben Brafman said in a statement.
