NLE Choppa hopped online to tear into Complex after they released their 20 best rappers in their 20s list … and he did not make the list.
“Whoever made that Complex list, I just want to let you know something: your ass need to go do rock and roll or some other sh-t. See, I been tucking my tail, I been trying to be more positive, I’ve been trying to be more of a light for these people. But y’all got me f-cked up. Y’all keep playing with me,” the “Slut Me Out 2” rapper ranted.
Playboi Carti topped the list.
Yeat, Veeze, Bossman Dlow and Sexyy Red all made the list.
“I ain’t discrediting nobody on that muthaf-ckin’ list, no way, shape, form,” NLE said. “But you shoulda did 21 muthaf-ckas instead of 20 if you wanted to leave me off that list, muthaf-cka.”
Fans responded, saying several other artists should have been on the list, including Kodak Black and Key Glock.
NLE Choppa, the 20-year-old Memphis MC, has already made waves in the rap game with over 5.5 billion streams, 14 RIAA-certified plaques, and two Billboard Hot 100 singles in 2023. His recent album, Cottonwood 2, further solidifies his place as a superstar. Despite his success, Choppa remains dedicated to his fans and continues to push boundaries. With hits like “Shotta Flow,” he made a mark without major label support, opting for creative control through his own label, No Love Entertainment. Reflecting on family and spirituality, his introspective approach has garnered praise from top publications. Now, he’s focused on solidifying his place among the rap elite.
