Eric Holder, the man who allegedly gunned down Nipsey Hussle is unable to attend his trial for the murder because he was beaten up in jail by another inmate.
According to Rolling Stone, the beatdown occurred on Monday afternoon when Holder was being moved back to his cell after court. As a result of the beatdown, Holder was left with “more than a black eye.”
“Based on some unforeseen circumstances that are no fault of parties here, we won’t be in session today,” the judge told the jury.
It is expected the trial will resume today.
Holder is charged with gunning down Nipsey Hussle outside his Marathon clothing store in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles. In 2019, Holder was indicted on one count each of murder and possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.
Holder denies the charges even though the shooting was captured on video.
