Nicki Minaj says that she believes that the Illuminati “could” be real, but that she does not know whether the people she believes worked against her in the music industry are part of a secret society.
The rapper, 42, addressed the long-running conspiracy theory during a recent appearance on The Bryce Crawford Podcast, after evangelist Bryce Crawford asked her directly whether the Illuminati exists.
“My situation, I feel like it’s very personal,” Minaj said. “I feel that there definitely is a group of people that have made things very difficult for me, but I don’t know if they’re Illuminati. I don’t know what they are.”
“I never looked at it as if it was like an entire secret society against me. But who knows, you know? It could be,” she continued. “Now, what they call themselves and what they proclaim to be? Only they could tell you that. But has it been a spiritual warfare? Absolutely.”
The Grammy-nominated artist said her early years in music felt very different.
“In the beginning it was a lot of fun,” Minaj shared. “I thought everyone just roots for each other and really wants each other to win,” before adding, “I started realizing people are really vindictive in this industry.”
Minaj has faced backlash after she went full MAGA, but has continued to double down on her love for President Donald Trump, dividing her fans.
