A woman has sued Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter for sexual assault.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, a woman named Melissa Schuman alleges that he forced himself on her after drugging her with roofies inside his apartment.
Schuman is a former member of the girl group who was signed to P. Diddy’s label ‘Bad Boy Records’ called DREAM.
In the lawsuit, she claims “Defendant Carter put some form of flunitrazepam or a similar drug in (her) drink.” She says that at some point, she claims that Nick asked her to come and listen to some new music he was working on before they started to kiss.
“At 18 years old, she felt self-conscious, intimidated, and sexually inexperienced; she had only ever kissed one other boy. Carter knew that she was a virgin and that she held to religious, conservative Christian values,” the lawsuit states.
“Against her will, Defendant Carter took (Melissa) to the bedroom, pushed her onto a twin bed, and climbed on top of her. Again and again, she said NO! She told him over and over that she was a virgin, that she was saving herself for her future husband, and that she did not want to have sex. Defendant Carter continued to force himself on her, whispering in her ear that he could be her husband. She could not get away from him, he was too heavy. Defendant Carter forced vaginal penetration of (Melissa.) She went limp and disassociated. After he finished, Defendant got up off the bed, at which time, she turned her body to the side and curled into a fetal position.”
Schuman alleges the incident led to her contracting HPV. She first went public with the alleged assault years ago.
