Nia Long had a rough couple of day, but Media Take Out has learned that so far she appears to be sticking it out with her man, Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka.
According to one of Nia’s friends, the actress and Ime have begun counseling with their pastor.
The friend explained, “Nia isn’t ready to leave yet, but she’s not necessarily staying either.”
“They have a son together, they were raising him together. They are a family, this is tough,” the friend added.
We’re told that the couple are both devout Christiana and are seeking spiritual help to move forward. The friend continued, “They need Jesus to fix this, and the can do anything.”
The Boston Celtics announced Thursday that Udoka would be suspended from his role as the NBA team’s head coach for “violations of team policies” that reportedly include an alleged romance with a woman on staff.
Nia Long’s rep told Media Take Out on Friday that although “recent events” have been “difficult” for her to “process,” she’s turning to her loved ones for strength.
“The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” the statement read.
