Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins was arrested and charged with strangling his girlfriend, Makiah Green, during an argument.
According to ESPN, Hassan and Makiah allegedly got into an argument on June 22 after Makiah “liked” another man’s Instagram photo.
Both were arrested on a pair of domestic violence charges on Thursday. Hassan was charged with felony aggravated assault by strangulation and felony vandalism.
Police say Hassan Haskins flew into a rage and kicked in a door inside the couple’s home in Tennessee. They claim the NFL player then began choking Makiah after he noticed she liked the unnamed man’s Instagram photo.
Mariah faces an additional aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
Both were released on bond Thursday and ordered to stay away from each other, according to the Metro Nashville Police.
They are scheduled for a court appearance on July 10.
Haskins, a second year running back, was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.
