‘Next Gen NYC’ star Gia Giudice Apologizes for Ill-Timed Post Calling for Dad Joe Giudice’s Pardon

Gia Giudice, star of Bravo’s hot new show, Next Gen NYC, has issued an apology after she called for the pardon of her father, Joe Giudice, on July 4th.

“I apologize for posting that on the Fourth of July. I got so much crap for that. I felt so bad,” she told PEOPLE.

Joe, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star, was deported from the United States after serving a 41‑month prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion, and subsequently being deported to Italy in 2019. He later relocated to the Bahamas in 2021 to stay closer to his four daughters while continuing to fight his immigration battle.

“I made the video on Thursday [the day before the holiday], and it was more so I didn’t want to let my dad down because I told him that the video was done, and when I tell him things, he expects it — like, you know, an Italian household, it better be done the next day,” Gia continues. “It better be done right away.”

Joe has also been pleading with President Donald Trump to pardon him, but Trump has yet to respond.
