NeNe Leakes likes to brag about how RICH she is . . . well now she really is THAT RICH.
Media Take Out learned that the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has settled her discrimination lawsuit, in principal, with Bravo. And Nene is set to receive approximately $20 million from the network.
According to a top source, with first hand information, Nene and Bravo have come to a settlement on their dispute – in which Nene alleged discrimination from the network and the executives they employ.
Media Take Out confirmed that on Friday, NeNe dropped her discrimination lawsuit against Andy Cohen, Bravo, the network’s parent company NBC Universal, and the production company True Entertainment.
According to court documents, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 54, filed on Friday to dismiss the case. Both Bravo and Nene agreed to not “seek recovery of costs or attorneys’ fees,” per the documents.
We’re told the settlement is “agreed in principal”, but the two sides are working out the specific details.
And Nene seems happy with the settlement, look what she posted on Instagram yesterday:
And we have more EXCLUSIVE tea about Nene’s settlement. According to one person in the know, Nene’s payout will be in the form of money (a check), and a commitment from Bravo to produce shows with Nene in the future.
It’s a similar settlement to the one Mo’Nique received from Netflix – which provided her with a huge cash payment, plus the promise of multiple specials on the streaming platform.
And Nene’s deal appears to be designed to open the door to the OG to return to Bravo’s hit show the Real Housewives Of Atlanta.
The tea spiller also told Media Take Out, “Nene may be coming back to the Real Housewives. I’m not sure if it’ll be Atlanta or [the] Girls Trip [franchise].”
What do you think about Black women finally winning discrimination lawsuits against these huge powerhouse companies?
