Nene Leakes has weighed in on Mia Thornton potentially joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, after Mia walked away from Potomac to move to Atlanta.
Nene said that while she did not know whether Mia had any “real friendships” on the current cast of the show, they had exchanged a few messages.
“I think she and I may have DMed each other once or twice. I’m sure she’ll make great Housewives with the rest of these girls. Just come on down here [and] just be messy. She should fit right on in,” said the former Atlanta Housewife.
Mia announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Potomac on April 21.
“The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories,” she said in a statement at the time. “I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story. To my castmates: thank you for the laughs, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments. And to the amazing fans, your love and support has meant everything to me. I’ll always carry that with me.”
When asked, Mia said she would be open to joining the cast.
