NBA YoungBoy’s mother, Sherhonda Gaulden, is firing back after her son said he plans to love her “from afar” and never speak to her again.

The 26-year-old rapper addressed their estrangement during an appearance on Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts podcast, saying his relationship with his mother contributed to anger he carried in the past.

Sherhonda was quick to respond.

“Kentrell, you don’t talk to me, or you don’t talk to your f–kin’ kids?” she said in an Instagram video. “Quit playin’ with me on this internet. I let you lie on me too many muthaf–kin’ times.” She continued, “I don’t give a f–k if you don’t never call me. Just stop lyin’ on me, bruh.”

Sherhonda returned to Instagram the following day to answer critics who weighed in on the family dispute, insisting her son’s remarks would not make her turn against him.

“So the s–t y’all sayin’ is not going to make me turn on my children,” she said.

YoungBoy’s revealing podcast appearance also touched on his health and future in music. He said a doctor once told him the left side of his heart was swollen while he was touring, but he continued performing.

Asked how many albums he believes he has left, YoungBoy answered, “One or two.”
