Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy has reportedly been sentenced to 27 months in prison after pleading guilty to a gun charge.

YoungBoy entered a guilty plea for his 2020 federal gun case and agreed for the case to be transferred from Louisiana to Utah, he was hit with another federal gun case.

Prosecutors filed a new felon in possession of a firearm charge against the rapper, stemming from YoungBoy’s arrest back in April where he was taken into custody by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office after being arrested on several charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and for a pattern of unlawful activity.

His current federal gun case was moved from Louisiana to Utah.

Bradford Cohen, the rapper’s attorney, shared an update on his Instagram page. Cohen says YoungBoy will be released early.

“Being right is a bad habit of mine… Global plea 27 months… will be out with credit time served in prop 12 months… Lawyer did a nice job with resolving the matter successfully,” he wrote.
