Just days after NBA YoungBoy entered a guilty plea for his 2020 federal gun case and agreed for the case to be transferred from Louisiana to Utah, he was hit with another federal gun case.

Prosecutors filed a new felon in possession of a firearm charge against the rapper, stemming from YoungBoy’s arrest back in April.

YoungBoy, real name, Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was taken into custody in April by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office after being arrested on several charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and for a pattern of unlawful activity.

Both of the above charges are Class 2 felony charges. Other charges inlcide procuring or attempting to procure drug/prescription, identity fraud, forgery and possession of other controlled substances.

They accused YoungBoy and his co-defendants of using fake names to scam pharmacies across Utah into providing them with drugs as part of a “large-scale prescription drug fraud ring.”

He was also illegally in possession of a Sig Sauer P365 9mm semi-automatic pistol, violating his probation.

He must now submit a plea to determine whether or not his new case will go to trial.
