NBA YoungBoy pushed through every date on tour after learning that part of his heart was enlarged, and he says he never told anyone what he was dealing with.
The rapper, 26, shared the health scare during a conversation with Funny Marco on Open Thoughts.
“On tour, a doctor told me the left side of my heart was swollen and I never told nobody,” YoungBoy told Marco. “I just kept doing every show. I finished my tour out like that.”
He also revealed that the condition may still be affecting him.
“My heart kind of still is enlarged on this little side,” he said, before adding, “That explains the music though, right? She’s hurting.”
YoungBoy did not disclose further medical details, including a diagnosis, treatment plan or what may have caused the enlargement.
The rapper revealed that music is no longer his top priority.
“Music is not something I’m focused on,” he admitted. Asked how many more albums he believes he has left, YoungBoy said, “One or two.”
“One for sure,” he said when asked about future tours. “I go on tour one more time throughout my whole life and that’s it.”
During the interview, he also revealed that he is currently living in South Korea and that he does not have plans to return to the US.
