Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested in New York City yesterday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, Media Take Out has confirmed.
Kevin Porter, 23, was formally charged with assault and strangulation.
According to police reports, Kevin returned early Monday morning from an evening out to the Millennium Hilton near U.N. Plaza, where he and his WNBA girlfriend were staying. Kysre reportedly got upset with the late hour of his return and locked the door, according to police. Once Kevin entered with the help of hotel security, he allegedly beat up the woman.
He’s now facing assault charges, which will likely end his short and troubled NBA career.
And the police may be the least of Kevin’s worries. Media Take Out learned that Kysre Gondrezick’s family is heavily connected in the streets. Kysre’s sister sent out this message to her sister’s ex.
