D4vd’s Apple Music profile was apparently hijacked over the weekend, with a fake song titled “I Did It” appearing alongside artwork depicting the abandoned Tesla linked to the singer’s criminal case.
The track appeared Saturday and was quickly removed. It seemed to use audio from “Celeste,” an unreleased song that leaked in December 2023. Over a melancholy piano, the voice sings, “I hear her voice each time I take a breath.”
D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, has never publicly confirmed that the recording is his. Nothing has established that the girl named in the song is Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
D4vd remains in jail on charges that he murdered and sexually abused the 14-year-old. Her body was discovered last year in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to him. He denies the allegations.
The fake upload was not an isolated incident. Songs also appeared on Apple Music pages belonging to Ariana Grande and Katseye without authorization over the same weekend. Those releases were removed, and no connection between the incidents has been established.
A fake D4vd track also reached Spotify on July 18 before disappearing eight hours later.
