A former employee of YouTube creator MrBeast has filed a lawsuit accusing his companies of fostering a hostile work environment.
In a complaint filed April 23 in North Carolina, Lorrayne Mavromatis, who previously led Instagram operations, alleged she faced retaliation after raising concerns about workplace conduct. Her legal team claims she was “subjected to multiple adverse employment actions, including a negative transfer, demotion, and termination” after speaking up in late 2023.
Mavromatis alleges she experienced harassment from supervisors and clients while working at the company. According to the filing, she was told she “should be honored that the client was hitting on her” after reporting unwanted advances. The lawsuit also claims she was treated differently from male colleagues and faced dismissive behavior in meetings and that she was demoted to a less desirable role before being terminated shortly after returning from maternity leave.
“MrBeast terminated Plaintiff less than three weeks after she returned from FMLA and pregnancy-related leave,” the complaint states.
A spokesperson for MrBeast’s companies denied the allegations and said they plan to contest the claims in court.
“This clout-chasing complaint is built on deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements,” the spokesperson said. “We will not submit to opportunistic lawyers looking to manufacture a payday from us.”
The lawsuit names MrBeastYouTube LLC and GameChanger 24/7 LLC and includes claims of wrongful termination and emotional distress.
The case has not yet been heard in court.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has around 479 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel, making him the most-followed creator on the platform. As of 2026, his estimated net worth is about $2.6 billion, driven largely by his business ventures, including his production company and brands like Feastables, and not just his YouTube earnings.
