Real Housewives of Potomac alum Monique Samuels, 39, has officially filed for divorce from her former NFL player husband Chris Samuels, 45., Media The Out has learned. Monique filed a petition to seal the documents, the docket shows that she filed a complaint for absolute divorce was filed on April 14th. She then filed an amended complaint for absolute divorce on June 15.
The report was first reported by People.
Media Take Out was the first news source in the world to report that Monique and Chris were ending their 10 year marriage last fall. Shortly after our post, however, Chris and Monique publicly denied our reporting – calling it “fake news.”
Turns out, as usual, Media Take Out was accurate in its repotting
The former couple — who wed in 2012 — share three children: sons Christopher and Chase, plus daughter Milani.
The couple hasn’t appeared on each other’s respective social media postings since December 2022. Neither party posted anything to commemorate their 11th wedding anniversary on March 3 as well as on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Additionally, Chris has unfollowed Monique and her company, Not for Lazy Moms, on Instagram.
So what caused their marriage to end?
Well Media Take Out has been hearing that Monique and Chris have been suffering from financial woes – ever since Monique got fired from the Real Housewives of Potomac.
One of Monique’s friends told us, “They were counting on the money from Bravo. When Bravo stopped paying, they were in trouble.”
