Candiace Dillard is celebrating after Michael Darby, the estranged husband of Ashley Darby, was dismissed.
Michael filed a $2 million lawsuit against Candiace, alleging “demonstrated knowledge that her statements were salacious, imprudent, and/or would be harmful to Mr. Darby’s reputation,” and were “intentional and borne out of evident hatred and disdain [Dillard-Bassett] has for Mr. Darby.”
Candiace made several remarks about Michael’s sex life but denied defaming Michael.
“I am incredibly grateful to God for protecting me,” she told PEOPLE. “I am also grateful for common sense, the support of my family and my incredible legal team for helping the plaintiff to get exactly what he deserves from me: absolutely nothing.”
His wife, Ashley, has remained quite about the lawsuit and has stayed out of the beef. The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion show is yet to air, so fans will be expecting Candiace to address the dismissed lawsuit, although Ashley will probably have very little to say.
