Michael Blackson respects Katt Williams, but he says it may be time for him to take a break from comedy as his new material isn’t funny.
“At one point I think Katt was so great…his last few specials has not been special to me. You know what I’m saying? It hasn’t been special to me. This last one, I didn’t like. Just the last four was not that great,” Blackson told The Art of Dialogue.
Williams’ most recent comedy special, Woke Foke, premiered live on Netflix on May 4, 2024, as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Fest and was his third collaboration with Netflix, following Great America (2018) and World War III.
Michael Blackson calls Jerry Seinfeld overrated and says Katt Williams comedy specials are not special.

The special received a mixed response with a review from FlickLuster even calling the special “a meandering mess.”
“Katt went through some moments in his life. But, you know, but he’s still a legend and I still love this guy. He should probably like, take a break from doing a special. Like, give it a long break,” Blackson continued. “I think specials should be, you can’t put them out every year. It’s gonna water down. Give it, like, you know, three, four years,” he explained. “Give it some time, Katt, and come back now you know. Let it miss the special.”
