Miami Beach has revoked a proclamation of “Sean Diddy Combs Day” after city commissioners voted unanimously on Wednesday.
The day was established in October 2016 for the disgraced mogul who lives in Miami Beach.
Diddy was sued by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. In the lawsuit, she accused him of r-pe, physical abuse and other heinous actions. Diddy settled with her within 24 hours for an undisclosed amount. He denied the allegations and several other lawsuits until a video of him physically attacking Cassie was published online by CNN.
Diddy apologized for the incident.
“It’s difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life; sometimes you gotta do that,” Diddy said in the now-deleted apology video. “I was f-cked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”
He continued, “I went and sought out professional help. I’ve been going to therapy, going to rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Last month, he was hit with a seventh lawsuit and he is fighting each one in court.
