After months of speculation, Mia Thornton has officially announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Potomac.

Mia announced the news to her fans on social media.

“With every new season comes a new beginning and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season,” she wrote on Instagram.

Mia joined the show in season six and remained for four seasons.

“The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories. I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story,” she continued. To my castmates: thank you for the laughs, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments. And to the amazing fans, your love and support has meant everything to me. I’ll always carry that with me.”

During the season reunion, there were rumors she would not be returning to the show after castmate Gizelle Bryant called her a “terrible mother” over the way she handled her separation from estranged husband Gordon Thornton and the paternity drama with Gordon and boyfriend, Incognito.

Mia went on to hint at something big coming in the future. Some fans are speculating that she may be joining the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
