Metro Boomin gave an update on Young Thug and says the rapper is doing fine even as he’s facing a long prison sentence.
“I be talking to him, he’s blessed man. Anybody know Slime know he got a heart of gold but he got the heart of a warrior at the same time so like, he got his head up. And I pray for him every single day, even since everything first happened, I pray for him every single day,” he said on DJ Drama’s The Streetz Iz Watching podcast.
He continued, “The day he got locked up he was supposed to be in the superhero video. He had a whole scene set up where he was gonna say the tag and do some other sh-t. I remember talking to him on the FaceTime, he was like, ‘yeah I’m finna pull up.”
The producer believes Thugger, who is facing multiple RICO charges will be acquitted and walk free.
“Man that’s my brother I love him to death and he done helped me a lot with a lot of stuff that I been going thru this past year,” Metro continued. “And on my faith I’m confident that he’s gonna be alright.”
