After weeks of whispers online that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks has been suspended from the show, she has finally addressed the rumors.
“I was not suspended and have never been physically violent in my life,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Please stop fostering these lies started by…. Some people work overtime with their smear campaigns.”
OK! also confirmed rumors that she had been involved in a “major fight” with one of the other Housewives, as well as one of her close friends. The fight was reportedly the spark that ignited the suspension rumors.
“No one heard/ever said there was going to be such a dire consequence for what she was involved in,” an insider told the outlet. “There was a fight that occurred, though.”
The insider also said that the fight went down when Meredith and her castmates were returning home from a group trip from Barbados.
“There were some really bad words thrown around that could potentially be character-damaging,” the source continued.
“This is likely where the chatter surrounding Meredith being disciplined came from… even though it wasn’t true, however, the argument was pretty brutal and featured a lot of screaming. The show this season is becoming so dark, and ultimately, viewers will have to decide if that’s something they like,” the insider concluded.
