Mendeecees’ Mother Confronts Yandy About Cheating Allegations

Lyndon Abioye |

On this season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris have been catching heat after alleged cheating rumors, as well as going back and forth with Rasheeda and Kirk Frost.

Yandy admitted she had an “emotional affair” with a man, who was later identified as a personal trainer based in London, UK.

Now, Judy Harris, Medeecees’ mother, is confronting Yandy over the rumors.

“Yes, I wanted to hear what’s going on and stuff with the internet talking about this London man. He was somebody you stated that was showing you around,” Judy tells Yandy.

“That was the extent of it. All this other stuff is extra s–t,” Yandy replies.

When Judy asks if she and Mendeecees cheated on each other, Yandy answers: “We emotionally cheated.” Judy presses further, wondering if the couple has truly taken accountability. Yandy insists they have — but adds that it’s not anyone’s business.

Mendeecees then arrives to keep things calm. Judy urges both Yandy and Mendeecees to own up to their mistakes. Mendeecees says he already has and is ready to move on.

“I said the same thing. I said we both…we both were in a place…” Yandy begins but Mendeecees cuts in.

“No, we’re not saying we, right? When it’s time for someone to take accountability, we can’t use the word we,” he says.

Yandy pushes back, telling him not to interrupt. “We both took accountability to each other privately. We both did things we not proud of,” she explains.

In a confessional, a producer asks Mendeecees why he feels Yandy hasn’t taken accountability.

“I just don’t think it’s in her nature,” he admits. “I feel like I’ve always took accountability like all those voice notes. My wife knew about them before the public. But when it comes to her stuff, you know, she said that she cheated emotionally. But I don’t know what that means. I don’t know, I wasn’t there. … I don’t have no idea what she did. I just feel like it’s just stuff that’s not being said.”
