Memphis rapper Yo Gotti’s brother Anthony “Big Jook” Mims was ki**ed in a sh**ting Saturday, Media Take Out confirmed.
According to an MPD Facebook post, an officer heard multiple g*nsh*ts around 4:00 in them afternoon. The officer went to the location and found two victims with multiple g*nshot wo**ds, both of whom were transported to the hospital.
Mims, 47, was identified as the victim who was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The second male victim was in stable condition Sunday, police said.
During a press conference Saturday evening, Deputy Chief Paul Wright said police were analyzing video but did not have a suspect identified at that time. He said it was also not clear if there were multiple shooters.
“We do feel like the individual that was shot was possibly targeted by the suspect,” Wright said.
But Big Book’s opps may be helping the police with their investigation. One man – who was close with deceased rapper Young Dolph – claim that Jook put a bounty on Dolph’s head. Dolph was later k***ed.

According to the streets in Memphis, Jook was well acquainted with the streets. Jook and Yo Gotti allegedly have a lot of enemies in Memphis, not just affiliates of Young Dolph’s.
The streets allegedly are saying the shooters were in the funeral before this happened sitting on the back row. The K*llers followed Big Jook and his bodyguard as he left the funeral and went to work him at a restaurant parking lot where the repast was being held.
The Funeral was for Eric Bovan a well-known and well respected street legend in the city.
