Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney has issued a warning to media outlets reporting wrongful information about the case against Tory Lanez.
In a recent petition filed to the court by Lanez’s legal team, he alleged the “firearm and bullet fragments are missing” from the weapon fired the night of the shooting which stops any further tests being conducted to prove his innocence.
Lanez also claims that other key evidence was prevented from being submitted into evidence.
“There are lots of people in jail that need help who tell the truth and who are innocent and deserve to be freed. I’d rather they spend their time on that than nonsense like this,” Meg’s attorney, Alex Spiro said in a statement.
Other blog posts surfaced claiming that The Appellate Court accepted Lanez’s innocence claim, which was incorrect.
“His declaration of innocence is completely false,” Spiro told Complex.
“He can continue spinning his wheels and spinning up these nonsense bloggers from jail all he wants but it’s not going to go anywhere,” he continued. “Misinformation isn’t gonna be an issue in the court of law where he was convicted and remains convicted and incarcerated. The fact that he has nonsense bloggers continuing to spin up garbage, we’re going to take legal action.”
“Misinformation can be everywhere but anybody reasonable and conscientious sees this nonsense for what it is,” Spiro added. “Given the fact that they insist on continuing, we’re going to take legal action.”
