Months after the relationship ended, Megan Thee Stallion told Marie Claire that she is still processing what happened with her ex, Klay Thompson, and has no interest in rushing into another romance.
“I’m not pretending I’m 100% okay,” she said.
Megan described the breakup as sudden and said it left her shaken.
“It was so abrupt. I’m in shock still,” she said.
The Grammy-winning rapper also spoke about how she felt while she and Thompson were together, saying that she never truly felt at ease with the athlete.
“I feel like that’s what I was in, constantly on edge,” Meg revealed. “My nervous system needed to calm down.” She continued, “I feel like I was in a panic 24/7.”
“I’m still not eating all the way right. I’m feeling all the feelings,” she continued. “I’m not trying to take no shortcuts.”
Megan and Thompson publicly confirmed their romance in July 2025 when they appeared together at her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. By April, the relationship was over.
Megan later said in a statement that “trust, fidelity and respect are nonnegotiable for me in a relationship” and that she was prioritizing herself.
Megan says she’s still not looking for love.
