In a clip for the second season of the Netflix real estate series, Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio Umansky is seen sitting down with his daughters, Sophia and Alexia Umansky, and his step-daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie to reveal that Kyle Richards, his estranged wife, had asked to separate.
“I had an amazing 26 years with your mom, an amazing 26 years. I wanted to do everything possible to just save it,” Mauricio says in the clip.

“Your mom came and talked to me and she said, ‘I think I need space.’ She said to me, ‘Listen, the rules are that you go out, you date, you do whatever it is that you want to do. I’m not going to be asking what you’re doing, I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing. Like, we are separated,’” he said.
His daughters were obviously emotional as their dad spilled the tea, adding that he was considering taking time out in Aspen.
The couple have been separated since last year. Kyle says they are still working on things so there is a chance they may end up back together.
