Reality star Masika Kalysha called out Basketball Wives star Brittany Renner after she seemingly turned to Islam to bag rapper Kevin Gates and switched up once their short-lived marriage was over.
Renner and Gates divorced after 52 days of marriage, just weeks after the relationship went public.
“We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,” Brittany, 33, told REAL 92.3 LA at the time. “But there is a 90-day waiting period in Islam where it’s basically—you have 90 days to see if you’re pregnant, then he would be responsible. And then also in those 90 days it’s for reconciliation, because Allah wants you to stay married. During those 90 days, you are not to entertain anybody romantically.”
While married, Renner covered herself up in a hijab, but ditched the modest attire in favor of more revealing clothing after divorcing the rapper.
Masika Kalysha reacted to the switch up via X, formerly Twitter.
“Since we’re on the topic… the way Britney played with them peoples religion to become that man’s other wife is crazy. He took off and she took off them peoples clothes,” she commented.
Renner is yet to respond.
