The son of the American soul singer and songwriter was arrested late Friday afternoon, a day after he allegedly pointed a gun at his wife, Wendy Gaye, and cousin following an argument at his Calabasas home.
According to online reports, Marvin Gaye III, 57, allegedly beat up both women after an argument between the three.
Police claim – in the police report – that they arrived to the scene believing that Marvin was still inside the home.
But when they arrived to the scene shortly after 8pm, Gaye reportedly fled the scene with neighbours informing officers that he had left.

Reportedly, deputies also met with the relatives of the adopted son of Marvin Gaye and compiled an assault report, which identified the 57-year-old as a suspect.
He was booked on misdemeanour domestic violence and felony assault with a deadly weapon charges, but posted a $50,000 (£40,000) bond and released.
Reportedly, an emergency protective order was also issued to keep Gaye away from the home and family.
