R&B singer Marques Houston celebrated his 3rd anniversary with his wife Miya Dickey and their daughter in Paris. The photo quickly went viral after a popular Instagram blogger pointed out the couple’s rather large age difference.
In the image caption, Houston’s age was described as 41 and Dickey’s as 22. The viral photo states that the pair allegedly celebrated three years of marriage and 10 years of “togetherness”, making people question if the couple were together when Miya was just 12 years old and Marques was an adult.
What is the truth of the matter?
Well Marques, the Sister, Sister star, previously addressed criticism surrounding his significant age difference with Miya and told his fans and followers that the duo did not start dating until Miya was an adult. He also clarified that they got engaged in 2019 (when she was 18) and married in 2020 (when she was 19).
Marques also explained to fans that the pair first met through a mutual friend in 2018 (when she was 17) and that Marques did not know about her existence before that year. Sop according to Marques he did NOT know her when she was just 12.
So it pretty much seems that the IG meme going around is false. But y’all know Twitter, that isn’t stopping it from circulating.
