Weeks after Marlon Wayans and DJ Vlad had a tense exchange on social media over payment for a potential interview, Wayans is showing off the numbers his recent Club Shay Shay interview pulled in.
Wayans told Vlad that he wanted $40,000 for an interview and also requested 30% of all ad revenue from the video. According to the star, he usually receives $100,000 or more for an interview.
Vlad is known for paying celebrities for interviews but called the Hollywood actor out, saying he wasn’t worth that amount.
“Someone once laughed at a ‘Marlon Wayans’ 1.4 million views in 24 hours. That I could only pull 300k views. I guess the juice is worth the squeeze,” Wayans captioned a screenshot of his interview.
Vlad did apologize to Wayans last month.
“Marlon, I apologize for jumping out the window the way I did. You didn’t really deserve it cause honestly, at the end of the day, it was just a business negotiation. I could have kept it to myself; I overdid it,” he says in the clip. “At one point, maybe we could work something out because I do actually respect you. That was the reason I approached you in the first place, you know what I mean, and I just hoped that you would see what I have done over these years.”
