Margaret Josephs is speaking out as speculation continues to swirl around casting for the next season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Appearing on the Reality Court podcast with Ana Quincoces and Ace Fanning, Josephs addressed rumors that she may not return, while castmates including Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Joe Gorga and Dolores Catania could be asked back.
“I’ll put it this way, there’s been no phone calls from Bravo,” Josephs said. “They have not solidified the cast. There’s a lot of rumors out there. Nothing has been solidified. I think it could go in any direction.”
While she did not confirm her future with the show, Josephs made it clear she has boundaries.
“I cannot put myself in a dangerous situation,” she said. “And I do not feel comfortable being around certain people. I’m not talking about Teresa, but I am talking about certain people that she’s related to.”
Josephs also weighed in on Teresa’s recent reconciliation with her brother, but is suspicious about the timing of it all. Rumors have circulated that the reconciliation was to secure their future spots on the show.
“They’ve made up. They’re family members,” she said. When asked about the timing, she added, “I think it was interesting and serendipitous. They’re brother and sister. I’m sure they missed each other.”
