Rory and Mal gave their opinions on Kendrick Lamar being chosen as the headliner for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show , and Mal, who has a close friendship with Drake, says the Canadian rapper has been asked to perform several times but turned it down.

“Drake has been offered this Super Bowl show for some years now and has turned it down. Probably four years, he’s been offered to perform at the Super Bowl, said no for whatever reason,” he told his cohorts.

“Drake has turned down the Super Bowl a few years,” he added.

Some fans are upset that Lil Wayne was snubbed for Super Bowl LIX even though it’s being held in Louisiana and rumors have been circulating that Jay-Z is to blame.

Kendrick announced his upcoming performance on Instagram.

What the deal everybody, my name is Kendrick Lamar … I’ll be performing at Super Bowl 59. Will you be pulling up?” K.Dot says in the video. “I hope so. You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship, right? No round twos. I wouldn’t want you to miss it. Meet me in New Orleans [on] February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress too, even if you’re watching from home. Let’s go.”
