Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie celebrated 33 years of marriage this weekend. The pair have known each other for over 40 years – but been married for 50.
Magic and Cookie had a rocky start to their relationship. As Media Take Out explained, Magic was out in the streets when the couple first met. The NBA legend admitted to cheating on Cookie hundreds of times.
And during one of those escapades, Magic contracted HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
But Cookie stayed by her husband, loving him and forgiving him. And that devotion paid off. Magic is now a billionaire, and Media Take Out learned that he knows exactly how lucky he is to have a woman like Cookie. And he shows it!!
We’ve learned that every year Magic takes Cookie on a one month yacht vacation – to anywhere in the world she wants to go.
Magic also supports all of Cookie’s philanthropic efforts, and we’ve been told that Magic no longer cheats on his wife either.
