Madonna has been rushed to hospital after suffering a “serious bacterial infection.”
According to her manager, the pop star has postponed her career- Celebration tour but that she is expected to make a full recovery.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he wrote. “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”
Madonna announced 12th in January, with a five-minute black-and-white video that showed her speaking at a dinner party with a group of famous friends. The tour was scheduled to kick off July 15 in Vancouver and wrap in Europe in the Fall.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna said in the video.
