R&B singer Lyfe Jennings is claiming he was robbed for $10,000 worth of jewelry and other personal items while he was in the Bay Area to perform several concerts.
“I’m in Oakland today, you all know, four sold-out shows and I just come off stage and I got down to Oakland, I pulled up to this spot, again, another place I wasn’t supposed to be,” he said in the post, adding that he “pulled up to a spot, went inside, saw some cats, blew up and basically, busted the windows out of the thing and snatched my little book bag. It’s like $120K worth of jewelry and my computer, my ID, passport, credit cards.”
Jennings was in Oakland, performing several shows at Yoshi’s. He reportedly did not immediately file a police report.
In the comments sections, supporters sent the singer prayers as well as warning about Oakland.
“They should have warned you Oakland been having the most robberies for real for real I am from West Oakland I’m telling you they should have warned you so sorry that happened to you,” one supporter wrote.
We hope he gets around to filing a report.
