After trying to get themselves removed from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against Diddy, music exec Lucien Grainge, UMG and Motown have all been dropped from his lawsuit.

“Based on my examination of all of the papers submitted in support of both motions to dismiss, which addressed the issues I had, I have concluded that there is no legal basis for the claims and allegations that were made against the UMG Defendants,” Lil Rod’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, said in a statement.

“As such, I have determined that the proper course of action is for all of the claims and all of the allegations to be withdrawn immediately.”

They have been dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot be sued again by Lil Rod for the same alleged crimes.

Lil Rod accused Diddy of sexual assault and sex trafficking and that the record labels and high-ranking execs aided and abetted Diddy’s alleged wrongdoings.

Diddy is denying all allegations against him.
