Lloyd Banks Shows Love To 50 Cent: He’s An Exceptional Songwriter

Lloyd Banks gave 50 Cents his props during a recent interview with Joe Budden.

“Coming into mixtapes, starting from Master C, the [DJ] Clues, DJ Absoluts, and this was even before ‘Bad News’ dropped and things like that, watching 50, to be perfectly honest with you,” said Banks.

“He wasn’t just a writer, he was an exceptional songwriter. Just conceptually and sticking to the whole subject matter, which was a plus for me because you’re looking around the game, there wasn’t many like that. Some of the biggest artists weren’t the best songwriters – he was. From the introduction, what you say in the beginning, where to pause. So that’s how I write.”

Banks’ remarks are the opposite of what The Game and Young buck have said about 50’s writing skills. Both claims to have written several tracks for the NY rapper.

In Clubhouse, Wack said, “I’m going to speak on something [The Game] don’t ever speak on. What up, cuz? What up, blood? What up, gangsta?’ Who you think wrote that? I’m going to leave it alone.”
