Lisa Rinna says a dream about her late mother, Lois, gave her the push to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons.
“If my mom hadn’t died, I would probably still be on that show today,” Lisa said on The Morgan Stewart Show. “Because I’m such a worker bee. I [would have] just adapted and made it work.”
Lisa said she was not considering an exit until Lois, who died in November 2021, appeared to her in a dream.
“She said, ‘It’s time to go. It’s time to go,’” Lisa recalled. “It really happened. It did happen, and I’ve got chills. I know it happened.”
Lisa joined RHOBH in 2014 and quickly became one of the show’s most talked-about personalities. During her eight seasons, she navigated friendships, feuds and family moments. Her exit came following an onscreen feud with Kathy Hilton, the sister of OG Kyle Richards. Lisa accused Kathy of unacceptable behavior towards Kyle as well as a hospitality staff member during a trip to Aspen…claims Kathy denied.
Lisa said she returned to filming only three days after Lois’ death because the cast was preparing for a trip to Mexico.
“I should never, ever have done it,” she said. “I should have said, ‘You know what? I have to take some time.’”
