Former Beverly Hills Housewife Lisa Rinna has opened up about her time on the show and her dynamic with network executive Andy Cohen.
It seems Rinna has some regrets about her previous friendship with the Cohen.
“What happened to me, I believe is, the minute I walked into that space, I [fell] into a trope of Housewife to Big Daddy,” Rinna said on her Let’s Not Talk About The Husband podcast.
Rinna joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a main cast member in its fifth season, which premiered on November 18, 2014. She remained on the show for eight seasons. In January 2023, the actress announced her departure from RHOBH, wrapping up the show’s 12th season.
She recently appeared on Cohen’s Radio Andy show on Sirius last month, where she apologized for comparing the show to the “f–king Titanic.”
“I fall back into a role that I played, I believe, for eight years, where I give my power to Andy Cohen, who is my boss. Just dynamically, that is where I went right back to. Almost like a little girl going back to the role she plays in her family,” she admitted.
“I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t agree in some way. But what I really realized and what I’m trying to say is: Think about in life when you go back into situations that may be either held trauma or you have a reaction in some way,” she explained. “I was able to clock it and look at my reaction in the moment and how I really took on a different role than I am [in] right now. Two and a half years later, I’m in a different place, but I reverted back to that old place.”
