Grammy-winning Lil Wayne is reportedly engaged after proposing to an Indiana woman earlier this year.
According to TMZ, Wayne, 43, whose legal name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has not publicly confirmed the news, and details about his reported fiancée remain private. His fiancée is reportedly in her 20s, but her name and exact age have not been made public.
The “Lollipop” rapper was previously married to Toya Johnson from 2004 until 2006. He has also had several public relationships through the years, including past engagements to singer Nivea and model La’Tecia Thomas. Wayne later dated model Denise Bidot for two years. Lauren London also revealed back in 2011 that she was briefly engaged to the rapper.
“I met Dwayne when I was 15 years old. I’ve known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. People see the “Lil’ Wayne” persona and think they know who he really is. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. That is all,” she said at the time, per VIBE.
Lil Wayne is currently preparing to drop more music.
“Tha Carter VII is coming soon,” Wayne said recently. “I’m not sure if we going to just name my next album Tha Carter VII, but I got albums coming as well.” He added, “But I got music for days.”
