Lil Wayne is saying sorry after missing his own concert in Bangor, Maine, leaving fans waiting until late on Tuesday night before learning he would not be hitting the stage.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at Maine Savings Amphitheater on the first stop of his extended 20 Years of Carter Classics tour, following a successful 2025 run. The night began with 2 Chainz’s opening set, but after that, the crowd kept waiting.

According to reports, fans were told around 11 p.m. that Weezy would not be appearing and that the concert was over.

The Louisiana rapper addressed the disappointment the next day on Instagram Stories.

“My Maine fans I’m so sorry … The show is being rescheduled to July 28. Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honored for the rescheduled date,” he wrote. “I ain’t s–t without you I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve.”

He added that ticket holders would receive more information by email. No official reason for the missed performance was shared.

Music fans reacted on social media.

“Lil Wayne just missed the opening night of his own tour and you imbeciles were whining why he ain’t getting a Super Bowl halftime show at this point in his career LMAOOOOO,” a fan wrote via X.

“Lil Wayne really skipped the first show of his tour to hang around Roc Nation affiliates. He cried wolf about not getting the Super Bowl, yet stays hanging around the same people that constantly try to actively smear the people who help him the most Lil Wayne… shame on you,” another wrote.
