Rapper Lil Tjay is reportedly awake and is speaking days after he was hospitalized after being shot.
Sources told TMZ that he’s awake and alert and that doctors recently removed his breathing tube, and he sounds the same as he did before the shooting.
According to online reports, Lil Tjay was in Edgewater, NJ. So far Police suspect that the shooting was a targeted hit, according to a person with knowledge of the incident who spoke with Media Take Out.
Lil Tay was shot outside his home at a luxury condo building. An earlier online report claims that he was shot inside a Chipotle restaurant – which is false.
The cops arrested a suspect named Mohamed Konate. They have charged him with three charges of attempted murder as well as other armed robbery and weapons offenses. They claim Konate shot Tjay, and two more men… Jeffrey Valdez and Antoine Boyd. Konate was also shot by return gunfire and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
