Earlier this month rapper Lil Tay was reported to be dead and more than 24 hours later, the rapper released a statement claiming she had been hacked.
Now her mother is speaking out about her custody battle for Lil Tay and her brother.
Lil Tay has hardly been on social media since 2018 and that’s mostly due to her father receiving a court order allowing him custody of his children.
“There are no words to describe the years of pain and oppression my daughter and I have suffered, and we have been ruthlessly stripped of basic rights and freedoms from the opposing party due to [Hope’s] disgusting financial motivations,” Angela Tian’s statement to Us Weekly read. “It breaks my heart that my children had to endure this pain for so long.”
She continued: “Years have been lost — years that we will never get back and damages that will last a lifetime. I have been financially ruined fighting for my daughter’s rights and freedom which should have never been taken away to begin with.”
