Fans of teenage rapper Lil Tay are concerned after a message posted to her X account claimed that she has been ‘dealing with a life-threatening emergency.’
Not only did the poster allege that Tay is currently in the ICU and in “serious” condition, but a video clip of an ultrasound appeared to show a tumor on the rapper’s heart.
“We have devastating news regarding tay,” one tweet read. “Please pray for tay. We will be updating you as more information becomes available,” another post stated.

Some fans are skeptical about the claims as just months ago; it was falsely reported that the rapper had passed away.
After news outlets reported her death, Tay came out and denied that she and her brother were dead.
“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess,” she said at the time.
